a day in Vienna

Just spent the day pedaling around the bike lanes of Vienna with none other than Oracle Jen.  Definately a bike friendly city with lanes all over to seperate us from the traffic.

Fortunately after all that walking I had a good sleep and was recovered to continue south.  In fact I feel great and am riding strong all day and every day.  We thought it would take seven days to reach Vienna, it took us five.........

When I made the last entry I thought we were stopping in Ratvik for the day (I had put a small chicken in my stomach) but Oracle Jen had other plans.....

We left Namsos at 30+C and now it must be 10C and its damp.  I roasted under the sun the first two days, the first one was tough, sunscreen baked on my skin.  The second day we rode thru Hell......

we're in central sweeden, roughly 40 kms SE of mora.  much flatter here than norway, but the endless trees make us feel like we're riding a hamster wheel in central maine.  rain most days, and today a headwind and busy road.  kurt's in the bike shop right now trying to find a way into stockholm.  bikes aren't allowed on the trains and busses..... hmmm.
