About Bikeway Source

We are proud to be a small, personal Bicycle, XC Ski Shop specializing in the sales and service of all levels of equipment. Since 1997 we have been serving the Boston area cycling community tirelessly searching for the best equipment and service tools available. The moment you walk through the door we’ll be there to help you understand your options and help you make the right choices for your unique needs.

But while we may be small, our workshop is state-of-the-art, equipped with the most advanced tools and staffed by the best experts around.

We can outfit your whole family for fun weekend rides.  Or we can custom-fit a high-end racing bike using the most advanced fitting machine available.

Riding and skiing are our passions, and giving you the best bike and ski service is our business.

We are situated at the head of the highly-celebrated 10-mile Minuteman Commuter Bikeway and the relatively short (4 miles), more rustic Reformatory Branch Trail into downtown Concord. The Minuteman Commuter Bikeway goes  from in front of our shop all the way to the Alewife "T" in Cambridge and then to Davis Square.

Eric Dilg

After having learned the bicycle and Cross Country Ski business working at and managing Lincoln Guide Service for 8 years Eric had the opportunity of a lifetime when the small rustic space at the end of the bike path in Bedford was available. Armed with a sound business plan and a small SBA loan he founded Bikeway Source in 1997. The principle of the business he began then continues today which is that this business exists to serve our customers first and always. The business you see today is very different from the meager beginnings of 1997 as we have grown and evolved over the last two decades serving the needs of cyclists and XC skiers with the best equipment and service technology available.

Chris Li

When the shop opened in 1997 Chris came to Eric that first summer and generously offered to volunteer his time. He had just graduated from High School and was about to start RIT in the fall. He offered this again the next summer and helped the business get it’s legs. After graduating RIT and several years of working elsewhere Chris came home to the bike shop in 2007. His presence and efforts have improved the business in every way and it’s all of our good fortune that he is here at Bikeway Source.
